**Update**Not Happy.

Search & Win

**Update: See Comment below!!!!**

Um… yeah, so I logged on to my computer this morning hoping to cash in for 2 more $5.00 Amazon giftcodes (the daily limit) when to my  utter dismay I read this message –“We are sorry for the inconvenience, prize orders are limited to 5 per month. Please place your order again next month.” Seriously Swagbucks, WTH???

Then I read this on the Swagbucks Blog ---->

Prizes. You like to get them, and we like giving them to you. That's why we have an entire Swag Store filled with thousands of prizes for you choose. From video games, posters, musical instruments, and electronics to gift cards, apparel, magazine subscriptions and digital wallpapers (and more, plenty plenty more), we try our best to have a selection that appeals to all of Swag Nation.

It is with that community in mind that we are introducing a new policy to ensure that every Swaggernaut will be able to get any prize they want. Each prize now has a 5 order per calendar month limit per person. That doesn't mean that you can only get 5 prizes per month, it just means you can only get the same prize 5 times per month.

I heart you Swagbucks… I really do, but frankly this new policy SUCKS!

Let’s do the math, shall we?

I had a grand plan to use my swagbucks to purchase $5 amazon.com gift codes so I could eventually buy a KitchenAid mixer. My goal-$300.00. As it stands I have the equivalent to $115 in amazon gift codes in my account. So, the way things were going I figured that by the end of the year I would welcome the beautiful KitchenAid mixer into my home.

However, according to this new policy I will only be able to cash in for $25 worth of amazon gift codes A MONTH! A MONTH PEOPLE!

$300/25 = 12 months!!!

Not Happy.

*Swagbucks in case you're listening...here's how to keep me happy.  Offer Amazon giftcodes in LARGER denominations. Please?! I really don't want to wait an entire year for my Kitchen Aid Mixer!

***UPDATE: Thanks to Christina and Simplysara for pointing out that, unbeknownst to me, Swagbucks did in fact add $25 & $50 donominations!  However, Simplysara commented:They do offer them in larger denominations but they are at a higher rate than 45swagbucks for $5 in Amazon money. A $25 amazon card is 315SB or 63SB for $5 and the $50amazon card is 590SB or 59SB for $5 so while she has enough for $115 in $5 amazon denominations (which by my calculations is 1035SB), she could only get $82.14 in $25cards for those same points or $87.71 in $50 cards. The $5 card is a better deal. So, if I wanted to stick out the 12 months it would technically be a better deal, but I don't see that happening. :) I'm just grateful that the larger amounts were added!

How do you get so many swagbucks? I am only able to get about 10 bucks per week. Am I doing something wrong?

Christina & Simplysara- Ah! Those weren't there before!!! Okay,so that makes things a *little* better, but like Simplysara says its not as good of a deal!

Thanks Ladies!

Mary Ann Miller- I earn the majority of my swags through referrals. You should be able to earn at least a couple a day through searching and they seem to release a special code sometime during the day (if you catch it).

HI Jamie,
There are other ways to earn Amazon money. If you're frustrated with Swagbucks, check out my ehow article on this subject here- http://bit.ly/5pMrs
Good luck, I love earning Amazon cash too! Comes in handy for holiday shopping. Have a great weekend!

Jamie, Swagbucks may be limited to a certain amount per month from Amazon and that is why they have implemented this....I'm just thankful they have given us the opportunity to search and win. I've been able to "purchase" Birthday and Christmas without being OOP any actual money. If it takes a little longer but youare able to not spend any Money OOP I think is worth the wait.

Bethany, Cindy, and Amy- Thank you ladies for the Kitchen Aid alert! Unfortunately, the mixer that's being offered is only in white and i'd really like to hold out for a Red one :)

that new policy does stink! and i think it's a bit foolish that they don't make it equal in terms of having to use so many more swag bucks for the larger denominations... but what can you do? i guess i'm not too concerned since not everyone has a popular blog to earn tons of cash - i read the other day someone bought a new laptop with swagbucks giftcards! crazy!

danielle said...

I meant to ask- does that mean the exact same prize or type?

You could get 5- $5, 5-$25, and 5- $50 a month or just only 5 of one type?

Jamie said...

danielle-Wow! A new laptop huh? The policy is that you can only get 5 of the same item a month. Not that you're only allowed 5 items total for the month. For ex. I was only able to get 5-$5.00 amazon codes. So I could still cash in for the $25/$50 amazon giftcodes this month (it's just that the higher denominations aren't as good of a deal).
